Below are the protocols we followed for our October 17, 2020 race.  As of this writing, December 3, 2020, we plan to follow this same schedule.  If COVID-19 conditions improve, we'll tweak the schedule accordingly.  

 

2020 text and protocols below

We have been given the green light to hold the 2020 Dirty 30 on October 17, 2020.  However, in order for this race to happen, we need to implement new rules and make changes to the race day schedule to adhere to the current COVID-19 restrictions/guidelines in place.   A summary of additional rules and race day changes are listed below.  Registered riders will be emailed a more detailed COVID-19 prevention plan.

Masks
Masks covering your nose and mouth need to be worn before and after your race.  Masks also need to be worn for the first mile of the race.

Wave starts
Riders will be grouped into small waves based on their event distance and average estimated speed.  Riders in each wave will be spaced 6 feet apart.  Masks must be worn while you are waiting in your wave and masks need to be worn for the first mile of the race

No touching
This needs to be a no touch race.  No high fives, hugs or spanking.  Spitting and snot rockets cannot happen in a group.

Awards will be mailed
No awards ceremony.  Awards will be mailed.

Closing registration and adding a wait list
As much as we'd like to have the biggest Dirty 30 ever, this is not going to be the year.  Online registration has been closed.  Please register for the waiting list if you didn't get in.  You will be contacted as soon as a spot opens up.  The sooner you register for the waiting list, the better chance you have of getting in.  

Packet pickup
Packet pickup will be in a drive through format at Saranac Community Church.  They are located at 125 South Bridge St., Saranac, MI, 48881.  Signs will direct you to the back of the church.  Stay in your car please.  Choose a side of the tent that is open and your complete packet will be handed to you.  You may need to fill out an additional waiver if you haven't done it electronically.  Fill it out here NOW so you don't have to on race morning. 

Separate start and finish
The start of the race will be on Vosper.  The finish will be on Division, just across from the car wash.
